George Georgakis (Dip.I.T [Network Engineering]) is the force behind the TripleG name. He is also a qualified graphic designer, having studied for a Bachelor of Arts in Visual Communication at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology.

He confesses to a keen interest in computers, in particular the Linux and UNIX operating systems
The real me

Award for outstanding contribution

His previous work experience includes a 10 year stint with the Australian Taxation Office, as well as with various Federal government agencies. He has worked with graphic design since 1985, and actually started with computers sometime in the late 1970s (programming for the Australian MicroBee, no less).

Previous graphics customers include the Australian Street Machine Federation, the Victorian Department of Sport and Recreation and H & J Paper Products. Previous IT experience includes stints with a number of e-commerce and online financial sites.
Among his personal achievements, he has played for the Victorian State soccer team. This picture was taken at the Southern Cross Shield competition in 1991, where he played as the midfield "general". Victorian soccer team
TripleG and Slackware All of his recent IT experience has developed out of his Linux hobby; he has been using Linux since late 1996. In January 2000, he "officially" entered the IT field, thereby merging two of his interests - graphic design and the Internet.
Another of his passions is modified cars. He has raced his two hand-built Ford coupes at Calder and Winton Raceway This picture was taken at Calder Raceway circa 1993. Racing at Calder Park Raceway

We hope you found this short personal tour interesting!
